About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. In BARDS (Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences), a distinguished department within our company's renowned Research and Development division, quantitative scientists, in partnership with other subject matter experts, apply state-of-the art scientific methodologies and tools to enable the discovery, development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and marketing of medical drugs and vaccines for the benefit of patients and global human health. The BARDS Department has approximately 10 internships in Preclinical Biostatistics and Clinical Biostatistics for full-time students pursuing an MS or PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics. This is a full-time summer internship position.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled students with at least 2 semesters of graduate work towards an MS or PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics by May 2026.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks beginning in June 2026 through August 2026.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of SAS, S-Plus, and/or R.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an experienced pharmaceutical industry statistician.
• Perform statistical analysis of data from and/or statistical research related to basic drug research, clinical pharmacology, drug and vaccine development, biomarker development, pharmacogenomics, health technology assessment or methodological research.
