The Flight Avionics Department develops guidance section electronics architectures for development programs, supports subsystem analyses, integration and test, provides program leadership as well as GPS/IMU support. We partner with several Electrical Engineering Departments that provide the detail designs of our electrical products. We are seeking entry-level candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to develop electrical subsystems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations and FRACAS processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with Material Review Board, Process Configuration Board, Configuration Control Board and Failure Review Board processes, proposing/defending and implementing Change Notices.
  • Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control.
  • Experience with writing and/or executing test procedures.
  • Integration and test of electrical hardware/subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment.
  • Performing system and circuit level analysis.
  • Subsystem integration and test.
  • Supporting failure investigations.
  • Maintaining and creating documentation.
  • Interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
  • Conducting failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
  • Performing analog and digital circuit analysis and characterizing and modeling electrical signals of electronics subsystems in simulation.
  • Identifying and instantiating circuit card and subassembly design updates.
  • Conducting integration & test at the subassembly level.
  • Developing interconnect models between various subsystems.
  • Generating test procedures/plans and documenting test results.
  • Generating and presenting task results to small technical teams.
  • Ability to work in either a team or individually.
  • Potential travel to test areas for support/troubleshooting issues, less than 10%.
  • Able to lift 15 lbs.
