Morgan Stanley offers a 10-week Summer Analyst program at its headquarters in New York. This program provides the opportunity to be part of the team that leads Principal M&A transactions, such as the acquisitions of Smith Barney, E*TRADE, and Eaton Vance, and advises on pivotal strategic growth initiatives both domestically and internationally. Participants will gain exposure to Morgan Stanley's senior leadership across all divisions, including Institutional Securities Group (ISG), Wealth Management (WM), and Investment Management (IM). The program allows interns to work on multiple live projects within a small team, providing hands-on experience in strategy and M&A.

  • Develop advanced strategic thinking skills and a deep understanding of the global financial services industry by assisting the team in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, the competitive landscape, business complexities, and regulatory constraints.
  • Learn the fundamentals of M&A by helping the team evaluate M&A opportunities across the franchise.
  • Screen for potential targets, assess their strategic fit, and conduct detailed valuation and pro-forma modeling and analyses.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Demonstrated interest in finance and basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A quick learner with a strong work ethic; a team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Expected base pay rates for the role will be $52.89 per hour at the commencement of employment.
  • Total compensation package may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
