The Capital Markets Advisory Summer Analyst will become an integral member of the Capital Markets Advisory Group, a dedicated team focused on providing advice to clients on a broad range of topics linked to the capital markets. Our areas of expertise include capital structure, corporate finance, debt and equity products and markets, shareholder activism preparedness and defense, and shareholder advisory. Our work is quantitative, qualitative and analytical. The Summer Analyst will work closely with all other groups at the firm, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries and transaction types, including high-profile and cross-border M&A, activism defense, special situations, restructuring assignments, as well as financing and refinancing transactions. In addition, the Capital Markets Advisory Summer Analyst will participate in an on-going training program. Depending on the project assignments, day-to-day responsibilities of a summer analyst may include financial analysis, securities modeling, equity and debt market analysis, data analytics, company and market research, activism campaign research, CMA-specific database management, development of client presentations, and interaction with senior bankers and clients. Summer Analysts will experience the role and responsibilities of a full-time Lazard CMA Analyst and be expected to embrace and develop competency across the breadth of our advisory offerings. Summer Analysts are expected to spend 9 weeks at the Firm.
