Job Description: At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As an intern, you will experience Regions’ values while receiving job skills and training, personal development, and networking opportunities. Regions offers college internship opportunities within various departments. Regions’ Government Affairs team directs the company's legislative, political and regulatory policy activities, spearheads advocacy efforts with various federal and state legislative bodies and executive and regulatory agencies, leads the company’s efforts to communicate with elected and appointed officials at the federal and state levels, and manages economic development in Alabama. Government Affairs also coordinates the grassroots activities of Regions’ associates and manages Regions' political action committee (PAC). The Government Affairs Intern will be based in Washington, D.C. and report to the office in D.C. The intern will work closely with the Head of Government Affairs & Economic Development, Public Policy Manager, Regulatory Affairs Manager, State Government Affairs & Economic Development Manager, and PAC Program Manager.
