About The Position

At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. Community engagement plays a critical role in how Regions fulfill its mission of making life better by creating shared value for our customers, associates, and the communities where we live and work. The Community Affairs Summer Internship Program offers college students an opportunity to learn how Regions brings this to life by working with different teams in the Community Affairs department. The intern will gain experience and insights on the joys and challenges of addressing community needs, partnering with nonprofit and community-based organizations, understanding bank regulations, and prioritizing philanthropic and community investments. Intern Placement Opportunities: Performance and Impact: We are seeking an intern who has an interest in data analytics and reporting. Projects may include: developing dashboards for key performance indicators, assist with the loading of CRA data into the Community Engagement reporting systems and similar initiatives. Community Engagement: The Community Engagement department consists of different teams that support a variety of initiatives that help our communities thrive. We are seeking an intern who will support a variety of projects around community engagement such as corporate philanthropy, volunteerism, and small business development.

Requirements

  • A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks
  • Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • Expected graduation of Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, Spring 2028

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry
  • Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings
  • Provides assistance in projects
  • Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career
  • Responsibilities will vary by internship
