General: The Data Stewardship Intern will be part of the Data Stewardship Tower, which manages the operating model for data ownership across the organization. This position is responsible for working closely with the Tower Lead, participating in weekly intern cohort programming, and collaborating with other interns on a group project. Role Description: As the Data Stewardship Intern you will assist the Data Stewardship Tower in monitoring initiatives that strengthen data governance, enable advanced analytics and facilitate access to data. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data management, visualization, and best practice documentation within a strategic enterprise setting. A general understanding of Data Management & Analytics systems, preparation of documentation, spreadsheets & presentations to enhance executive reporting capabilities are part of the role.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar).
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Interest in data governance, metadata management, and AI-driven analytics.
  • Current students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2027
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Basic Data Analysis and Visualization: Assist in analyzing datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Create clear and compelling visualizations to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Support Documentation and Best Practices: Help organize and document data stewardship processes, standards, and workflows.
  • Contribute to creating reference materials for metadata management, lineage capture, and data quality monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Data Stewardship Team: Participate in meetings and discussions on Data Management deployment strategies
  • Assist in preparing materials for Data Stewards and EDMO leadership to provide visibility into data initiatives.
