About The Position

This internship will follow a hybrid/in-person model. Interns will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and are expected to work on-site 3 to 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2026. Within Stellantis Product Development & Technology (PDT), our Propulsion Systems team is driving innovation on a global scale. What we do: Design, develop, calibrate & validate Propulsion Systems globally including traditional engines, transmissions, battery electric, alternative fuels, hybrids, thermal, HVAC, intake & exhaust systems, vehicle & propulsion controls and software. This internship offers a hands-on experience in the design, development, and validation of advanced propulsion technologies, including internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electrified powertrains. As a PDT Summer intern in Propulsion Systems, you will support one of the following areas: Engines Transmission, Driveline & Reducers Battery, Cells, Modules & Packs Electric Drive Systems & Propulsion Controllers Electrified Architectures Propulsion Systems Quality Management Calibration HVAC & Engine Systems Vehicle & Propulsion Controls & Software Testing & Analysis You'll be matched with a team that aligns with your technical strengths and passions. Requirements

  • Pursuing an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Able to work 40 hours per week during the internship

Nice To Haves

  • Major in Mechanical, Electrical, Software or Automotive Engineering at an ABET-accredited program; other engineering disciplines will be considered.
  • Completion of sophomore year or higher at an accredited university by the spring of 2026
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across organizational levels
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in academic, extracurricular, or service activities
  • Able to drive vehicles; possessing a valid driver's license.
