About The Position

BHE Renewables owns interests in several independent power projects in the U.S. BHE Renewables owns solar, wind, geothermal, hydro and natural gas projects that largely sell their output to regulated utilities. The company's portfolio includes projects and assets in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York and Texas. BHE Renewables is building a first-of-its-kind solar-powered microgrid that will be the start of an aerospace manufacturing hub in West Virginia. Requirements

  • Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in industrial technology/occupational safety and health, environmental health & safety (EHS), criminal justice/criminology, emergency management, or related field
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with file systems, databases, and digital workflows preferred
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive) preferred
  • Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) preferred
  • Understanding of metadata standards and classification systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective project management skills
  • Effective analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within tight deadlines
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Audit and catalog existing technical documentation (electronic and hard copy)
  • Assist in designing and implementing a digital document management system (DMS)
  • Digitize physical documents and apply metadata for classification and retrieval
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to understand document workflows and access needs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
