The City of Greeley is proud to partner with Weld County School District 6 to offer high school students and young professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in local government. This internship provides an immersive experience in public service, allowing students to develop professional skills, engage with community initiatives, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact the city. Requirements

• High school junior or senior enrolled in Weld County School District 6 (or partner program, if applicable).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive workplace attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in public service, local government, business, or related fields.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with administrative tasks, research, and project coordination.
• Supporting city events, community outreach programs, and department initiatives.
• Conducting data entry, report preparation, and basic analysis to support city operations.
• Collaborating with city employees to develop solutions for real-world challenges.
• Engaging with the public, answering inquiries, and providing customer service.
• Participating in team meetings, workshops, and trainings, and presenting findings on assigned projects.
• Attending select city tours, career panels, and/or city council or department meetings as part of the learning experience.
