About The Position

The EHS team at Haleon’s Guayama site plays a critical role in protecting our people and our environment while ensuring compliance with global and local safety standards. We focus on identifying and controlling workplace hazards—chemical agents, noise, ergonomics, and more—so that every employee can work safely and confidently. As an Industrial Hygiene Co-op, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, support real-world monitoring and risk assessment activities, and collaborate across departments to improve health and safety performance. You’ll be part of the team that safeguards our workforce and drives a culture of safety excellence.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• Must have active student status for the duration of the Co-op.
• Must be eligible to work in Puerto Rico at the time of, and for the duration of, employment.
• Employees will be required to furnish evidence of Puerto Rico work authorization.
• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Must be eligible to work onsite full-time in Guayama, PR (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Assist in promoting a safe and healthy workplace by helping with ergonomic checks and basic safety practices.
• Help identify potential hazards such as noise or chemicals and contribute to simple job safety analyses.
• Join routine chemical risk assessments to monitor compliance and learn about safety standards.
• Work with the team to develop practical ideas for reducing risks, such as improving work environments or using protective equipment.
• Support EHS training sessions and keep records organized for safety programs and incident tracking.
