At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together. Throughout the 9-week paid Cybersecurity internship, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture, immerse you into your technology role, and teach you how to help protect Schwab's systems, networks and programs from cyber-attacks. The interactive internship program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths! You will gain insight into how to protect Schwab's systems against intrusion, damage, or theft to safeguard and enable the firm to cultivate client trust. Cybersecurity interns will be exposed to standard processes such as security auditing, security policy development, cybersecurity tools, and/or methods for monitoring security conditions. You will work closely alongside a dedicated group of cybersecurity professionals and leaders to achieve our vision where the firm operates with confidence in our information security. Daily tasks may include threat intelligence or threat hunting, continuous improvement to monitoring processes for controls, databases, servers, access, directory services (including cloud) and applications, workflow development and automation of IT risk management processes, and network edge protections, firewall rule management, and extension of capabilities through Security Service Edge solutions. As you begin to invest in your early talent career, personal and professional support will be provided. Come “challenge the status quo” for the Summer of 2026 and learn what it means to be the next generation of Schwab change makers!
