2026 Bridge and Heavy Civil Summer Internship
About The Position

KPFF Los Angeles Bridge and Heavy Civil Structural Group is looking for summer interns to join us for summer 2026! This is a non-exempt, temporary position. All overtime hours are paid at a time-and-a-half hourly rate. Real work environment & experience Mentorship with skilled engineers & CAD designersHands-on training - nearly 25% of interns' time is dedicated to training programsCollaboration on interesting projects and visit active job sites40-hour work schedule, Monday through FridayFlexible scheduling - core hours of collaboration are 9:30-3:30 PM Monthly Way We Work stipend for remote work and transit expensesInterns work Monday-Thursday in our Downtown office and have the option to work remotely on Fridays from homeOpportunities for educational events, relationship building, and fun! Students who have completed their Junior year at the start of the summer will be paid $29.50/hr. Students who have completed their Bachelor's degree at the start of the summer will be paid $31.50/hr.
Requirements
- Candidate working toward a BS in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Bridge design or structural engineering).
- Transcripts must show completed courses in:Structural Analysis Mechanics of MaterialsConcreteSteel or Wood DesignBridge related classwork
