We’re seeking future team members for our Engineering (Developer) program with roles located in Pittsburgh (PA), Lake Mary (FL), or New York City (NY) in hybrid positions. Summer Internship Program The BNY Summer Internship Program provides high-potential students with a well-rounded, rewarding 10-week internship experience, as well as an inside look into what it is like to work for a global financial services organization that has been innovating and serving clients since 1784. Interns work on challenging projects, collaborate in teams, and build professional networks while gaining insight into BNY and skills required to be successful in the workforce. We deliver a full IT Service Management lifecycle across applications and infrastructure support to provide a controlled and secure production environment. We ensure the operating model is aligned to the business lines and their technology needs simultaneously focusing on onboarding new client and ensuring existing customers get highest service level through: Automation, Alerting, Monitoring, Operational Efficiency, and Stability. Constantly evaluates opportunities to improve performance of the applications. Monitors application gaps, improvements & functional automation through visibility to production environment. Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college pursuing a bachelor's degree or in a 4+1 program in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technology discipline.
• Graduating in Dec 2026 or May 2027 (U.S.)
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

• Provide in depth troubleshooting for any developed software running in the clustered environment or monitor and manage the health of technology platforms and associate services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects, ensuring all requirements are met
• Service and maintain applications in expected turn-around times with a sense of urgency
• Work with application teams to have application issues fixed, both short term and long term (root cause)
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize production downtime
• Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to optimize productivity
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and milestones
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and patterns, making data-driven decisions for process improvement
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting a culture of learning and growth
• Maintain, monitor, and support large and complex software systems in an operational 24X7 enterprise environment; analyze program logic and logistics; improve efficiency
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and system configurations, for future reference
• Acquire knowledge / agility to learn end to end SDLC lifecycle
