About The Position

This internship consists of a full immersion in athletic training services for Seattle Reign FC. This will include pre- and post-training treatments, rehab programming and facilitation, training coverage, match day stretcher crew, and documentation. The intern will not travel with the team but is expected to be present at all home matches. The student will work closely with professional athletes, carrying out daily athletic training services under the guidance of the Medical Director, Head and Assistant Athletic Trainers. The student is expected to display their current athletic training skills while seeking opportunities to learn new skills. Clinical questions and discussions are encouraged. The intern may have the opportunity to observe the team physician when on site. Professionalism and maturity are always expected while around staff and athletes. The internship will serve toward clinical credit for a CAATE accredited program.

Requirements

• Enrolled in Master of Science program in Athletic Training from CAATE accredited college or university
• Must be able to receive academic credit towards clinical educational requirement
• Able to commit to internship for a minimum of 12 weeks
• Affiliation agreement must be executed between University and Seattle Reign FC prior to start
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment
• Professional demeanor, punctual and reliable
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to pitch in to support team tasks
• Ability to work under pressure situations
• CPR/BLS certified
• Complete SafeSport training
