About The Position

The 2026 Actuary Intern position at Aflac is a hybrid role that requires the intern to report to the Aflac office in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week, with the remaining time working from home within the continental US. The intern will gain knowledge and experience in preparation for full-time professional opportunities within the Information Technology division. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Actively pursuing Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Proficient in major PC applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Internet access.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility, flexibility in acceptance of assignments; exhibits dependability.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties under the direction of experienced personnel to gain knowledge and experience in preparation for full-time professional opportunities within the Information Technology division.
• Provide assistance and work on specific projects in areas such as computer operations, programming, software development/applications, analysis, and hardware.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and prepare reports for management; assist team in identifying process improvements.
• Continuously develop technical, analytical, project management, leadership, presentation, and other business skills by involvement in strategic projects and work assignments.
• Receive training and perform duties in Information Technology to become familiar with division functions, operations, management skills or style, and company policies and practices.
• Observe experienced personnel to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties.
• Participate in roundtable feedback discussions to interact with other participants and to offer program improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as required.

Benefits

• Salary range of $19.00 - $25.00 per hour.
