About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks middle school teachers for our fifth through eighth grade classrooms in the 2025-26 school year. We are building a candidate pool for Lead Middle School teachers anticipated for the 2026–2027 school year across our network. While this is not a guarantee of placement, selected candidates in the pool may be invited to interview when openings arise. Teachers are assigned one grade level and are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their Principal. There are four 'home room' teachers on each grade level who are each responsible for teaching a core subject. Class size is typically about 26 students per class. Subjects on each grade level include English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. Please note within the application what grade levels and/or subject area you prefer. Relevant certification should also be indicated in the application. Please note that fifth grade is considered part of our middle school model.
