About The Position

The Future Talent Program at Merck offers internships that last up to 12 weeks, providing students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful projects within the Animal Health Division. The 2025 Cattle Sales Internship is a field-based position primarily located in Tennessee, with travel expected to other states in the Southeast region. This internship is designed to actively support the sales strategy across various territories by coordinating and executing sales support activities. Interns will be involved in promoting and supporting the Animal Health product portfolio, which includes Bio-Pharma products, Allflex ID products, and livestock monitoring services. Interns will ensure that veterinarians, dealers, resellers, and livestock producers receive the necessary support in utilizing these products effectively. Responsibilities will also include providing logistical support for market field trials, assisting Sales and Technical Services, and developing plans to engage customers and meet their needs. Participation in field-based events, such as trade shows and customer education sessions, will be a key aspect of the role. Clear and timely communication with Sales and Technical Services is essential for identifying and resolving any issues that may arise. As part of the internship, candidates will be required to rent a car, necessitating legal authorization to do so in their state of residence. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Animal Health industry while contributing to the success of Merck's sales initiatives.
