About the position

Culver Academies is a private boarding school that educates students for leadership and responsible citizenship. We are seeking diverse talent to support our mission and enrich our learning environment. Located on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, Culver Academies encompasses 1,800 acres of green hills and woodlands, providing a serene setting with access to large cities nearby. We offer summer internships in various fields, including Education, Student Activities, Business, Operations, Communications, Leadership, Sustainability, Event Planning, and DEIB. Our summer programs employ 450 dedicated professionals each summer, with a focus on creating meaningful connections and making a positive impact on children's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of campers/students.
  • Establish rapport with campers/students and administer discipline respectfully.
  • Act as a positive role model and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Enforce rules and regulations, as well as safety protocols.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with campers/students and staff.
  • Report to work on time and in proper attire.
  • Accept supervision and feedback for improvement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of High School or equivalent, at least 18 years of age (1 year of college preferred).
  • Desire and ability to work with children/teenagers.
  • Demonstrate honesty, self-discipline, and cooperation.
  • Efficient communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Be in good health and possess physical stamina.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior teaching or coaching experience.
  • Professional certification or license related to specific instructor positions.
  • Experience in specific skills such as coding, archery, or golf.
