About The Position
Intern will support Reliability Test Group activities in the Photonics Platforms group and assist with the generation and reporting of data. Experiment planning (DOE) and execution as well as Failure Analysis techniques will be taught and projects assigned. Tasking will involve hands on operation of environmental test chambers and mechanical test equipment including abrasion, adhesion, tensile testing, lap shear, 4pt bend, and flexural strength testing of materials. Measurement, and evaluation of test results will require use of inspection equipment and good documentation skills.
