The 2025 Summer Internship Program at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta offers a unique opportunity for law students to gain practical experience in the legal department. Interns will support various legal functions, including employment law, banking regulation, payments law, and contracts, while contributing to the mission of promoting the stability and efficiency of the U.S. economy and financial system. This internship is designed for candidates who are committed to a full-time schedule during the summer months and are eager to develop their legal skills in a dynamic environment.

  • Support the legal department in areas including employment law, banking regulation, payments law, and contracts.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
  • Work independently on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Currently enrolled in Law School and in good academic standing.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA above 3.0 in an academically rigorous curriculum.
  • Proficient in using Westlaw or LexisNexis for legal research and contracts.
  • Demonstrated interest in Employment Law, General Corporate Law, Banking & Finance Law, and/or Payments Law.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Comfortable working across time zones.
