About The Position

The internship position at BCBSM is designed to support the testing team within the business configuration department, focusing on daily operations and quality assurance activities. Interns will collaborate closely with the QA staff to execute both manual and automated tests, document issues, and assist in various projects aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency. This role provides practical experience in the health insurance industry while fostering professional development and networking opportunities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Testing Lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of databases like SQL or MS Access.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with current QA staff to develop and execute manual/automated testing scripts.
• Document and compare issues to set guidelines and requirements.
• Identify and remediate configuration errors.
• Review and follow documented testing processes.
• Assist with various other ad-hoc projects.
