About The Position
The 2025 Summer Analyst - Software Engineer position at TD Securities offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the financial technology sector. This internship is part of a 10-week non-rotational program designed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to the firm and its operations. Interns will engage in substantive technical assignments that will enhance their programming skills and knowledge of financial products. The program includes professional development training, extensive networking opportunities, and interactions with senior leaders, ensuring that interns are well-prepared for their future careers. Interns will work on initiatives aimed at developing new functionalities and improving existing processes, systems, and applications that support TD Securities' key businesses. They will be responsible for producing high-quality code, testing, debugging, and participating in peer code reviews. The role will involve working with a variety of technologies, including JavaScript, Angular, React, SQL, NoSQL, C++, C#, Java, Scala, Python, NodeJS, RESTful APIs, and the Hadoop stack. Interns will also have the chance to learn about financial products such as equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, and fixed income, among others. Beyond the internship, high-performing interns may receive full-time offers for the FinTech Software Engineer Rotation Program, which allows graduates to rotate through four different technology teams within their first two years at TD Securities. This program emphasizes career development, mentoring, and leadership training, making it an excellent stepping stone for a successful career in financial technology.
