About The Position

The Performance Specialist Intern at Exos is an educational role designed for individuals pursuing a degree in sport science or related fields. This internship provides hands-on experience in a strength and conditioning environment, allowing interns to learn from experienced professionals while developing their coaching skills. Interns will engage in various training programs, gain exposure to sports-specific training methods, and have the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).

Requirements

• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
• Must be in a program that offers course credit for internship experience.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required (or must be obtained during the application process).
• Passionate about working with the active/athletic population.

Responsibilities

• Learn from experienced human performance professionals to develop coaching skills.
• Shadow and participate in programming and services for athlete clientele of various levels.
• Attend weekly educational sessions to understand the Exos Methodology.
• Engage in practical training for developing movement skills and program designs.
• Complete self-paced learning modules related to performance training.
• Participate in the NFL Combine preparation program during the spring semester.
