About The Position

Requirements

• Full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university majoring in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Recent college graduate with a degree in Mining Engineering or related field, graduated within 12 months prior to internship start date.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates initiative and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of engineering projects to support operations.
• Help in layout and design, specification development, and data collection.
• Coordinate mining, mechanical, civil, and other engineering projects.
• Develop scopes of work, generate cost estimates, and prepare project information packages.
• Evaluate current systems and processes to implement optimizations.
• Engage in project work including budgeting, engineering, purchasing, and cost control.
• Develop engineering projects utilizing new technology for safety and efficiency improvements.
• Promote positive employee relations and teamwork.
• Participate in problem-solving efforts with operating and maintenance departments.
• Assist in the implementation of new technology.
