The Finance Intern at Frontier Airlines will play a crucial role in supporting various financial analyses across the organization. This internship is designed for the Spring 2025 semester, running from January 13, 2025, to May 23, 2025, and is based in Denver, CO. The intern will engage in both recurring and ad-hoc analyses that encompass a wide range of financial activities, including short- and long-term financial planning, cost reduction initiatives, competitive benchmarking, labor analysis, capital allocation, fleet planning, and flight profitability assessments. The intern will be expected to conduct complex financial modeling, which includes calculating internal rates of return, net present value, and payback periods. In this role, the intern will collaborate closely with Finance leadership, business partners, and various operational groups to deliver timely and accurate financial analyses. The intern will champion Frontier's philosophy of 'Low Fares Done Right' and work to enhance financial awareness throughout the organization. Responsibilities will include investigating the root causes of cost and revenue variances, proposing profit-maximizing solutions, and identifying potential revenue and cost opportunities. The intern will also conduct scenario analyses to determine optimal strategies in uncertain situations and act as an internal consultant to improve processes and efficiency. Additionally, the intern will benchmark financial and operational performance against competitors and best practices, and undertake ad-hoc projects and reports as directed by senior management.
