About The Position

The Sales Summer Internship at Builders FirstSource, Inc. is designed for students to gain industry and organizational knowledge through hands-on experience in sales and customer service. Interns will work under direct supervision, assisting with various projects and learning effective sales techniques by accompanying outside sales representatives on customer calls.

Requirements

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MBA, Marketing, Business Sales, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management/Engineering, or Industrial Management/Engineering.
• Prefer GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Prefer junior or senior level, but will consider other class levels.
• Strong oral, written, and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
• Comfortable talking with and interacting with others.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Accompanies outside sales reps or sales manager on customer calls to learn effective sales and customer service techniques.
• May be assigned to inside sales/counter responsibilities, including answering phone calls and taking orders.
• Assists with various projects in support of the department.
• Gathers and organizes data for departmental special projects or reports.
• Participates in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Works with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
