About The Position

The 12-Month Internship Program offers full-time, 12-month internships with stipends for recent college graduates interested in pursuing a museum career. The program includes focused departmental training integrated with a lecture series and financial provisions for research trips related to the interns' fields of interest. Interns will participate in monthly activities designed to provide greater exposure to the museum and art fields. The Learning and Engagement Intern will work within MoMA's Learning and Engagement team, gaining experience in creating museum education programs for specific audiences from ideation to execution. Interns will support various family programming initiatives and gain firsthand experience working with visitors.

Requirements

• Recent graduates of bachelor's or master's degree programs.
• Interest in and knowledge of art making, art history, early childhood education, and/or family learning.
• Ability to quickly learn new software and programs such as Google Suite, Splash registration system, and Emarsys.
• Marketing writing skills.
• Ability to speak Spanish or a second language.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, registration, and day-of support for family programming, including Family Gallery Talks, Family Art Making, Family Art Workshops, Family Films, and culturally-specific programming.
• Help with promotional materials, such as marketing emails and program listings for communications.
• Assist with the day-to-day running of MoMA's hands-on space, Art Lab.
• Help with data collection and surveys.
