About The Position
Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is seeking a Logistics Analyst Intern for the year 2025, located in Augusta, Georgia. As a leading global manufacturer, Textron specializes in a diverse range of vehicles including golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics and supply chain operations of the company, which markets its products under various brands and serves a wide array of environments from golf courses to factories, airports, and theme parks. The Logistics Analyst Intern will assist with material planning requirements, which includes issuing purchase orders for materials and components, expediting orders as necessary, and verifying delivery dates. The role will also involve new process implementation and process improvement, which entails developing procedures and completing problem analyses. The intern will manage inventory levels and reorder points based on manufacturing schedules, prepare reports and communications as requested, and perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up. Additionally, the intern will stage orders, create stockroom pick lists, order tools, and schedule materials. Utilizing capacity and lead time information, the intern will ensure schedule compliance for each manufacturing department. Analyzing material demand and part shortage lists will be essential to determine the impact on schedules and capacity. The intern will also assist supervisors with the disposition of rejected materials, order completion activities, and the analysis of bottleneck constraints and machine or tool functionality issues. Maintaining data records within company planning systems and establishing production schedules to support manufacturing goals for an assigned work area will be key responsibilities of this internship.
