The purpose of Caterpillar's Leadership & Technical Development Program (LTDP) is to harness your ability and energy and invest in you through training and development opportunities so that you may not only fulfill your personal career and development ambition, but provide excellent service to Caterpillar and especially, Caterpillar employees. You will gain a wealth of experience while in the development program in roles focused on EHS compliance, project management, culture transformation, operations supervision, facility sustainability, and more! LTDP offers you a broad exposure to Caterpillar, presents diverse project responsibilities, engages you in global teams, provides cross-functional job experiences, and includes valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar leadership. So, what's the program commitment then? The LTDP is a two to three-year rotational development program, consisting of 1-year rotational assignments across various business areas and locations. Assignments are based on business needs and provide on-the-job learning with challenging deliverables. Eagerness to jump right in and make the most of each assignment is a must! The possibility of relocation is a requirement to join the program and may be required throughout the program as you maneuver in and out of different positions during the diverse rotational assignments. Locations across the United States are potential relocation options. Relocation benefits are offered to those who qualify.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent grad attending a 4-year accredited university/college.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety or equivalent EHS degrees.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 scale.
  • Graduation date between May 2023 and December 2025.
  • Willingness to relocate and travel according to business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous relevant work experience or internship in EHS, manufacturing, supply chain or operations industry.
  • Leadership involvement on campus, community service and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental, health, & safety principles.

Responsibilities
