About The Position
Ionis Pharmaceuticals is seeking a summer intern to participate in evaluating mechanistic aspects, efficacy, and distribution of Antisense Oligonucleotides (ASOs) in skeletal muscle. The intern will learn various techniques including rodent handling, drug administration, tissue dissection, RNA isolation, RT-qPCR, digital PCR, and Western blotting. This internship provides an opportunity to gain a basic understanding of ASO and skeletal muscle biology, contributing to the understanding of ASO technology in hopes of aiding patients with severe myopathies.
