Raytheon's Air Launched Effectors Department is currently searching for a Technical Intern to work on a multi-disciplined team supporting the design and/or production support of Air Launched Effectors products and subsystems.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore year by the start of Summer 2025.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with Creo modeling and drafting.
  • Experience with Windchill and configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting concept development, detailed design, analysis, integration and test.
  • Support of transition to production efforts.
  • Factory production line support and product improvement.
  • Root cause / corrective action and problem resolution at on-site labs and factories or at various suppliers.
  • Work closely with Integrated Product Team Leads/Program Managers to ensure that engineering requirements are defined, risks are managed, and schedules/budgets are met.
  • Ensure Technical Data Package quality per ASM Y14.5.
  • Prepare technical justification analysis reports and present to Engineering Review Boards.
