About The Position

This position is for an intern who will be entering their sophomore or higher year by the start of summer 2025. Manufacturing Engineer Interns can expect to learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and Raytheon systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical and aerospace or other closely related field.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/education with technical writing
  • Experience/education with interpretation of technical documentation
  • Experience with project execution
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles

Responsibilities

  • Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
  • Improve cycle time and lead time
  • Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
  • Create and oversee improvement projects
  • Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
  • Perform hardware defect analysis
  • Participate in corrective action investigations
