The selected Legal Intern will be integrated with, and work as part of, the Shared Legal Services Functional and Governance team within Raytheon's Legal, Contracts and Compliance (LCC) function as they support Raytheon's business and programs in the U.S. and nearly seventy other countries. Requirements

  • Must have completed a bachelor's degree and be an active law student pursuing a Juris Doctor, having completed at least their first year of law school by the Summer of 2025.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Attending an accredited nationally recognized law school.
  • Prior experience in corporate governance, operations, and/or transactions.
  • Ability to research, analyze and learn new concepts and legal issues quickly.
  • Excellent analytical ability and legal drafting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently interact and communicate effectively with other members of the LCC as well as outside counsel.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment while being able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Support a broad spectrum of real legal challenges posed by Raytheon's work around the world.
  • Be exposed to a wide-range of legal practice areas, including corporate governance, labor and employment, litigation, international transactions, government contracts, compliance, and legal operations.
  • Work directly with Raytheon attorneys, management personnel, and outside counsels in a collaborative environment.
