About The Position

This requisition is for our Summer 2025 interns. If you are interested in a Summer 2026 internship, requirements will open soon. The position involves various aspects of asset management, data digital acumen, exception management, fleet readiness, operational excellence, safety compliance, shipping transportation, and vendor management. Interns will gain knowledge and experience in these areas, executing systematic methods for effectively operating and upgrading assets, managing data collection and analysis, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program currently.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025-August 2026.
  • 0-1 years of relevant full-time experience (excludes internship and research-based roles).
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year Walmart Logistics experience OR 1 year transportation experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • Experience working with Walmart Logistics applications.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Walmart Dispatch experience.

Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledge of fundamentals of asset management and lifecycle of assets.
  • Execute systematic methods for effectively operating and upgrading assets.
  • Implement inventory procedures and software tools for inventory management.
  • Gather data information and content in a digital environment and interpret appropriately.
  • Assist in responding to disruptions in operations and identifying process resolutions.
  • Manage scheduling and reporting of fleet keeping seasonality and contingencies in perspective.
  • Monitor processes within a given business unit to address issues and support safety and compliance needs.
  • Verify and utilize basic paperwork and flow of transport operations.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with suppliers at an operational level.
