About The Position

The Internship at ETS Research Institute offers an opportunity for doctoral students to engage in high-impact research projects addressing significant educational and societal goals. Interns will collaborate with renowned experts in the field, contributing to foundational and innovative topics in education, and will have the chance to present their findings to various teams upon completion of the program.

Requirements

• Current full-time enrollment in a relevant doctoral program.
• Completion of at least 2 years of coursework toward the doctorate prior to the internship program start date.
• Ability to complete the 8-week internship within the United States.
• Relevant field of study in areas such as AI/Machine learning, Assessment, measurement, psychometrics, Cognitive or learning sciences, Education, Linguistics, Psychology, Statistics and data science.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in qualitative research methods.
• Familiarity with user experience/User interface design.

Responsibilities

• Develop a research plan to address a critical issue and execute the plan.
• Perform a literature review and develop new frameworks.
• Learn specialized procedures or software, if required.
• Work with data.
• Conduct various psychometric and statistical analyses with real or simulated data.
• Prepare a conference proposal.
• Draft a research report and document research instruments.
• Present findings to teams across Research.
