About The Position

The 2025 Guardian Summer Internship in Digital & Technology - Data Engineering is a paid 10-week program designed to immerse interns in the daily operations of a leading global financial services company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable industry knowledge and organizational insights through hands-on job assignments and daily business interactions. Interns will engage in projects that have a direct impact on the business, allowing them to interact with senior leaders in conversational settings and network with employees and fellow interns across various offices. The program runs from June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled or until the application window closes on November 17, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET. Interns are expected to be rising seniors, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026, and should be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. The internship will take place in locations such as Bethlehem, PA, Holmdel, NJ, and New York, NY, with housing not provided. Candidates should possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. They should also have skills in data exploration and analysis, as well as knowledge of Python and SQL. Throughout the internship, participants will gain deep insights into Guardian's mission, values, and diverse product offerings. They will develop their skills in data exploration and analysis, learn to think critically, and question assumptions. Interns will have the chance to explore and leverage cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems, contributing to impactful projects within the Data & Analytics group that drive business success. They will document their findings, contribute to technical specifications, and present their data analysis findings to team members and leadership, enhancing their communication skills. The internship also emphasizes building a network of colleagues and fostering a sense of community among interns and other business areas.
