About The Position
The Electrical Apprentice Signal Trainee position at Norfolk Southern is designed to train individuals to perform the duties of Signal Workers, who play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with FRA regulations and customer satisfaction while maintaining safe and efficient railroad operations. The position involves a comprehensive 52-week paid apprenticeship training program that includes both in-class theory and hands-on skill development in the field. Successful applicants will undergo various training sessions in McDonough, GA, and will be required to pass periodic tests to continue in the program. Upon successful completion, apprentices will be eligible to bid on Signalman or Signal Maintainer roles within the company.
