The Corporate Summer Internship Program at Parker offers engineering students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Interns will work closely with dedicated engineering professionals, participate in various engineering and manufacturing assignments, and build their professional network. The program aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the operational side of the business, culminating in potential pathways to the Parker Leadership Development Program or direct hire positions.

  • Gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing environment.
  • Interact with plant operations leaders and different business systems.
  • Network with other interns and professionals.
  • Receive training on new software applications and tools.
  • Collaborate with other departments for a broader view of the business.
  • Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced engineers.
  • Participate in research and development activities, including new technology assessments and product development methods.
  • Observe the entire product life cycle from conceptualization to production.
  • Involve in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
  • Create, design, and prototype new components or modifications to existing products.
  • Learn to test mechanical systems, evaluate findings, and analyze data.
  • Work alongside the manufacturing team to understand production processes and provide engineering support.
  • Troubleshoot issues and improve processes from design to production.
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States.
  • Committed to working in-person, onsite at a Northeast Ohio Parker location 40 hours per week in Summer 2025.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and contributes productively on team projects.
  • Enthusiastic while working through challenges and making progress on open-ended assignments.
  • Active listener, displays genuine curiosity and maintains a growth mindset.
  • Innovative, possesses skills necessary to investigate and research new topics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD systems such as AutoCad, ProE, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
