About The Position
The AbbVie EXCEL Externship is a two-day immersive experience designed for sophomore students who are interested in pursuing future internships with AbbVie. This externship will take place at AbbVie's Headquarters in Lake County, IL during the Summer of 2025. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in AbbVie's culture, gaining hands-on experience across various key business areas. The program aims to help students build an extended network of AbbVie representatives, senior leaders, and peers from across the country. Additionally, externs will participate in cross-functional professional development opportunities and learn more about AbbVie's career offerings. Successful participants will also be considered for internship opportunities for the following summer. The Business Technology Solutions (BTS) aspect of the externship serves as a vital talent pipeline for AbbVie's Internship Program. Participants in the BTS externship will engage in meaningful assignments that significantly impact AbbVie's business and its patients worldwide. The BTS team combines technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving skills. The externship offers a variety of potential work experiences aligned with several functional areas, including Project Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Application Technology, Emerging Technology, Design & Architecture, Digital Technology, and Information Security.
