About The Position

The position is for a Substitute Paraprofessional within the district, working on an as-needed basis. The role involves being available for on-call days to assist in various educational settings across the district.

Requirements

• High School diploma or recognized equivalent and two years of study at an institution of higher education (72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the one hundred level or higher) or an AA Degree (or higher) or a score of 455 or above on the ETS ParaPro Assessment required or completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator, in a program registered with the WA State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
• Effective speaking, reading, writing, spelling, and math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective student supervision and management skills with a willingness to enforce school rules.
• Ability to work effectively in a positive manner with staff, students, and families from a diverse cultural, economic, and social background.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must complete and pass background check through Washington State Patrol and FBI.
