Requirements

Responsibilities

• Plan an instructional program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Create a conducive learning environment appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Employ instructional methods and materials appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
• Evaluate student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required.
• Diagnose learning abilities and disabilities of students and seek assistance from District specialists as needed.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly and work cooperatively with staff and community.
• Assist administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct, maintaining order fairly and justly.
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence and attend meetings as appropriate.
