About The Position

The Toppenish School District is seeking Certificated Substitute Teachers for the 2025/26 school year. This position is on-call and as needed, providing flexibility for individuals looking to work in a dynamic educational environment. Substitute teachers will be responsible for following lesson plans and maintaining classroom order while engaging with students from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate.
• Ability and desire to work with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to follow lesson plans and maintain classroom order.
• Must be at least twenty-one years of age.
• Working home or cell phone required.
• Internet access preferred for online AESOP substitute system.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Maintain classroom order and discipline.
• Engage with students and families from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
• Utilize the AESOP substitute system for scheduling and reporting.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $28.57 per hour.
