About The Position

The 2025/26 Secondary Special Education Teacher for Life Skills (ICAP) is a position designed for educators who will work with students who have intensive communication and behavioral needs. This role is part of the Individual Community Academic Program-Communication (ICAP-C), which provides a highly structured environment with a low staff-to-student ratio. The teacher will utilize a variety of research-based methodologies to meet the individual needs of students, focusing on academics and developmentally appropriate functional skills, with an emphasis on communication and positive behavior through intensive, hands-on learning.

Requirements

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Ability to work with students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
