The position involves implementing a comprehensive program of health services for assigned campuses. The individual will provide health services to students and promote health education and preventive health practices. Additionally, the role includes supervising medical health professionals and/or health clinic aides as assigned.

  • Implement comprehensive program of health services for campus(es) as assigned.
  • Provide health services to students.
  • Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.
  • Supervise medical health professionals and/or health clinic aides as assigned.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.
  • Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
  • CPR/First Aid Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • CPR Instructor Certification.
  • Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures.
  • Three years nursing experience, preferably in school nursing and/or community health.
