About The Position

The Leander Independent School District is seeking temporary Fine Arts instructors for private music lessons and marching tech positions. The private music lesson instructors will provide voice or instrument lessons to middle school and high school students, with lessons held on LISD campuses. Instructors will be responsible for billing parents directly for their services. Additionally, marching tech staff will assist the band staff during the marching season, providing individual and small group instruction from July through November, with attendance at contests and games as determined by the band directors. All instructors will be required to undergo fingerprinting as part of a national criminal background check, with associated costs borne by the instructors.

Requirements

• Must be fingerprinted through the State Board for Educator Certification.
• Cost of fingerprinting is incurred by the instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provide private voice or instrument lessons to LISD middle school and high school students.
• Hold private lessons on LISD campuses.
• Bill parents directly for services provided.
• Assist band staff throughout the marching season.
• Give individual and small group field instruction to students.
• Attend marching contests and football games as required.
