About The Position

Position requires the transportation of Mid-Del students grades K-12th. Driver will be required to pick-up students at specific stops and safely transport to school in the AM and then back home in the PM. Opportunities will be given to assist with field trips on a voluntary basis.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must have the ability to obtain or hold a minimum CDL, Class B license with all required endorsements and school bus certification (training can and will be provided).
• Must pass physical, drug testing, background felony check, and background drive check.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Responsibilities

• Obeys all traffic laws and observes all mandatory safety regulations.
• Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.
• Reports undisciplined student to the proper authority.
• Performs proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
• Discharges students only at authorized stops.
• Reports accidents and completes required reports.
• Expected to use professional conduct at all times.
• Fulfills Board Policy to exhibit dress and appearance that is neat, clean and orderly.
• Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
