About The Position

DVISD's Department of Human Resources must approve all requests for college/university education field placements. This includes all Student Teaching, Observations, and Practicum placements. DVISD is offering a limited number of stipends for choosing Del Valle ISD as your student teaching site. Only available for the last semester of student teaching, with an expectation to accept employment with DVISD, if offered. Email Raquel Martinez at [email protected] for more information.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a teacher degree program at a college or university.
• Currently seeking certification through an alternative certification program.
• Completion of a DPS Background Check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Student Teacher/Observation/Intern Application.
• Attend a Student Teacher/Counselor Intern Orientation with Curriculum & Instruction and the Department of Human Resources.
• Obtain an official badge identification at the orientation.
• Report to the campus only after receiving clearance from Human Resources.
