Our Elementary Teachers impact students' lives by delivering instruction in the classroom and raising student achievement. They are responsible for long-term unit planning and daily lesson planning, as well as communicating with parents and guardians about student progress. Teachers are expected to quickly implement feedback and goal-setting into lesson delivery, collaborate with teammates in grade-level and subject-level teams, and participate in the life of the school, including student activities and events. Maintaining a classroom culture conducive to student achievement is essential, as is using data to track student achievement and to constantly improve practice. Teachers will participate in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings about student achievement and embody, advocate for, and operationalize the mission, vision, and direction of the school. They may also take on other tasks as needed.
