About The Position

Under general supervision, an instructional assistant will provide support and advancement of the execution of the classroom teacher's plan in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic goals by creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.

Requirements

• Highly Qualified Status/Credentials required
• Experience working with students in an elementary or secondary learning environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Provide support to classroom teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering instruction
• Assist in creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic goals
• Develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs
• Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Collaborate with other instructional staff to develop and implement curriculum
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills
